Chloe Yap

chloe_5_4

I’m an Australian science-medicine student, interning in the Goke Lab for 6 months in 2016. I am fascinated by how we can extract so much information out of genomic data – what we are predisposed to, the effects of our environment, and even inferring the history of life itself! I enjoy trying to make my code look aesthetically pretty (to make up for its functional ugliness), nature walks, and you’ll often find me playing my cello, Charlie.

Favourite Singaporean food: Food-wise – it’s like choosing a favourite child, but for drinks – there’s no such things as too much teh halia.
Favourite travel destination: New Zealand’s South Island – the scenery is borderline ridiculous.
